Main Highlights on the Route:

• Lempuyang Temple (Pura Luhur Lempuyang) — one of the oldest and most highly revered temples in Bali, part of the island's nine key spiritual pillars. Sprawling at an altitude of over 1000 meters above sea level, its famous split Candi Bentar gate is known as the «Gates of Heaven» — this is where the legendary postcard view of Mount Agung framed by clouds opens up.
• Tirta Gangga Water Palace — a former residence of the Rajah of Karangasem, which is a labyrinth of decorative lakes, fountains, stone carved bridges, and statues. The main highlight is a stone pathway right on the water surface and giant golden koi fish that you can feed from your hands.
• Taman Ujung Royal Palace — a majestic park and palace complex built by the last rajah over 100 years ago. The palace's architecture harmoniously blends Balinese, European, and Chinese styles, and the complex is surrounded by large lakes and beautifully manicured gardens.
